Award Artists to Feature at Show

The NZ Art Show is pleased to announce the Emerging Artist Project as part of the 2017 NZ Art Show. Nine artists who have excelled in previous shows as participants of the RT Nelson Emerging Artist Award will exhibit in a dedicated gallery space at the show.

The Emerging Artist Project celebrates the RT Nelson Emerging Artist Award and the artists who have benefitted from the award since the award’s inception. The participating artists are in various stages of their art career and some are completing their art studies and this exhibition is a great chance to see their progress.

ASB and Artists in Residence

Bruce Mortimer has started his Artist in Residence tenancy this week, in the Lambton Quay ASB branch, Wellington. He will be there until May 26.

May 22 – 26: Tatyana Kulida will be Artist in Residence in the  Willis St ASB branch.

We are delighted to have Tatyana on board this project. Those of you who attended the 2016 NZ Art Show may remember her as she was demonstrating at the show.

Tatyana was born in Russia and graduated from the Florence Academy of Art, which is probably why her artworks are reminiscent of the old masters.

Bruce will be creating a work to be auctioned on the gala evening, with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House.
If you are in the neighbourhood, pop in to see the artists at work.
