MIN was born in 1971 in South Korea, the daughter of painter Kevin Kim. From early childhood, she has been drawing and painting, leading her to eventually study at the Jung Ang Fine Art University in South Korea. MIN then worked as an interior designer and illustrator in South Korea.
In 1999, MIN immigrated to New Zealand where she became a full-time artist operating her own gallery until she moved to Italy in 2007 to further her art studies in Florence.
She studied there until 2009, learning about the classic 19th century paintings. Her time in Italy
has touched her deeply with its historical wealth, vibrant colours, and its unique atmosphere.
