Award winning qualified artist Tania Sunde exhibits in group shows throughout New Zealand. She regularly exhibits at The New Zealand Art Show Wellington and works as a private art and design tutor. Member of The New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts and Titirangi Painters. Frequently volunteers at The Upstairs Gallery, Auckland.
Her painting style is dramatic, moody, spontaneous and ambiguous, merging layers of intense colour with textured contrasts.
Born in 1967 and grew up working on the family fruit farm in Oratia, West Auckland. During her teens was tutored by Artist, Judy Darragh. Post high school, Tania was constantly inspired by her arty close relatives therefore it was only natural for her to further develop her artistic potential. Fast forward to 2002 and Tania had a calling, applied for full time study at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design. It was at Whitecliffe that Tania was tutored by many accomplished arts practitioners who all gave her inspirational encouragement and 4 years later in 2006 was awarded a bachelor of fine art degree.
Tania's paintings are held in private collections worldwide.
