MANAGING YOUR PAGE

IMAGES

  • Upload only jpegs to your site: not pdf or word documents. Photos taken by a digital device are normally jpegs
  • Take good photos: good composition, good lighting and good focus.
  • You might want to take 2 – 3 versions of the same artwork: a close-up version and a ‘hanging on the wall’ version, or a sculpture taken from different viewpoints. Please note that they will constitute part of the 20 images allowed in total.
  • Your Profile image should be your best work as it will be the one displayed in the Artist Listings. Please don’t upload a portrait of yourself in this space as the first thing people should see is the artwork.
  • Size is important: please make sure they are in the size range of 600KB – 1MB. Or pixel dimensions to be around 1000 on the longest side.
  • If the are too big they will slow the site down. If they are too small, they will be blurry and too small for customers to see.
  • If the are too big they will slow the site down. If they are too small, they will be blurry and too small for customers to see.
  • If you need to reduce the size of your images, make copies of your originals and then resize the copies by using the photo editor on your device
  • If you don’t know how to use the photo editor or if your device doesn’t have a photo editor, ask someone to do it for you
  • Here’s a short video on photographing your art – but there are bound to be loads more online – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vpj28da03JQ
