  • Go to the NZ Art Show website: artshow.co.nz
  • Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Artist-Login
  • This link becomes Artist Log-Out when you have logged in

You will be directed to the Login page

  • Enter your Username, or Email Address, and Password we emailed to you
  • If you have forgotten your password, click on Lost your password? You will be sent an email with a link to reset your password
  • Recommendation: we suggest you change your password to something only you know. Do this by clicking on Lost your password?

Create your online gallery

It’s quite easy, but we are always available to help if you have any queries

  • On your page you will see easy instructions on how to upload images by clicking on ADD ANOTHER ARTWORK button.
  • A new section will appear: click on Choose File button and select an image from your device

Fill in the other fields as follows:


Write something interesting and unique to make you stand out. Short and sweet is a good idea too. If you have another website with your art, copy and paste the URL here, however we can’t provide direct links to other sites

Town / city / region

If you don’t live in New Zealand, please include the country you live in


If you change your email you MUST let us know as we need to change it our end to ensure you receive enquiries

Profile Image

We’ve placed a filler image. replace it with  an image of your best artwork as this will be displayed in the Artist listings


File size is important: too big and they will slow the site down, too small and they can’t be viewed easily. In the size range of 600KB is a good start, or, for those with photo editing experience, 1000px on the longest side.


Please be concise. But ensure you include important technical information about the artwork, prices for both framed and unframed (if applicable) and editions available (for prints and photos)

Type, Medium, Style and Theme

Select the categories relevant to each artwork but please keep them to a minimum, If more than 2 medium, please select Mixed Media. List full media in the Description section


  • Click the pink SAVE CHANGES button every time you upload an image. Don’t wait until you have uploaded all images
  • When you have finished, click the SAVE CHANGES button and Log-out


  • When you log out of your page, you will see how your page looks


  • If the name we put on your site is different to what you actually want to use as your artist name, please tell us and we will change it for you

Do you want to suspend your page temporarily?

  • Please let us know – we’ll take it off-line for you. We’ll reactivate your page when you are ready to return
  • You are not eligible for a refund if you suspend your page



  • Upload only jpegs to your site: not pdf or word documents. Photos taken by a digital device are normally jpegs
  • Take good photos: good composition, good lighting and good focus.
  • You might want to take 2 – 3 versions of the same artwork: a close-up version and a ‘hanging on the wall’ version, or a sculpture taken from different viewpoints. Please note that they will constitute part of the 20 images allowed in total.
  • Your Profile image should be your best work as it will be the one displayed in the Artist Listings. Please don’t upload a portrait of yourself in this space as the first thing people should see is the artwork.
  • Size is important: please make sure they are in the size range of 600KB – 1MB. Or pixel dimensions to be around 1000 on the longest side.
  • If the are too big they will slow the site down. If they are too small, they will be blurry and too small for customers to see.

  • If you need to reduce the size of your images, make copies of your originals and then resize the copies by using the photo editor on your device
  • If you don’t know how to use the photo editor or if your device doesn’t have a photo editor, ask someone to do it for you

  • If someone is interested in your artwork, they can contact you via a contact form on your site
  • All enquiries from your site will be sent to your email address
  • Monitor your email on a regular basis and respond to all enquiries at your earliest possible moment
  • Check your spam folder every day
  • Be courteous, as it could make the difference between making a sale or not


  • No sales are managed through the website
  • When you make a sale you will need to negotiate a payment plan with the purchaser
  • A customer might want to pay in installments: this is something for you and the customer to negotiate


  • When you make a sale you will need to arrange delivery of the artwork
  • If you use a courier, we recommend that you use a track and trace option


  • As mentioned before, make it interesting and short.
  • Remember to include any art study (where and when), recent exhibitions and any awards you have received


  • As mentioned in the FAQs, you are responsible for managing all issues that arise once the sale is made
