Celebrating sculpture from Aotearoa

We’re super excited, and very proud, to host the RT Nelson Awards for Sculpture for the second year running. This is a significant award for sculpture and we can’t wait to reveal 90 outstanding artworks by the 68 world-class Kiwi artisans selected as finalists for the awards.

The winners of the $15,000 premier prize and 5 x $1,000 highly commended prizes will be announced at the show on June 2, at a private function.

The awards seek to foster, educate, and nurture a market for small scale sculpture so they can be enjoyed in one’s home. They highlight the diversity of 3-dimensional art and celebrate our unique culture and heritage through New Zealand sculpture.

All artworks will be for sale, so this is a perfect opportunity to invest in New Zealand sculpture. The best way to appreciate these sculptures and to celebrate the artists who created them is to see them for yourselves at the NZ Art Show.
