NZ Sculptors Wanted: Nominations for 2024 R.T Nelson Awards for Sculpture Open

These prestigious awards are a unique opportunity for Aotearoa’s finest sculptors, and they celebrate the diversity of small-scale works.

We are inviting nominations of New Zealand sculptors

  • Artists are nominated for this award: either by the artist themselves, their dealer, an arts organisation or any individual
  • Nomination forms are on the R.T Nelson Awards for Sculpture website
  • Nominations close November 30
  • There is a weight and size limit: all information is on our website
  • Finalists’ artworks will be exhibited and for sale at the 2024 NZ Art Show, TSB Arena, Wellington, May 30 – June 2

The awards are valued at $25,000

The judging panel will award the following:

  • Premier Award: 1 x $15,000
  • Highly Commended Awards: 2 x $1,000
  • Finalists awards: $250 each

In addition, there will be a People’s Choice Award of $2,000 voted for by attendees.
