This is a quick overview – full information and instructions will be given to selected artists.

| November | 6 | Deadline for application images and artwork details. |
| December | 1 | • Applicants notified re selection results by this date • All selected finalists will be given full instructions to prepare for the finalists’ exhibition |
| December | 11 | All selected finalists to confirm participation by this date – to awards@artshow.co.nz |
| 2024 February | 21 | Finalists confirmed – list of artists published on the NZ Art Show website |
| May | 8 | Submission forms due |
| May | 17 | Return courier tickets for unsold artworks are due. Send to NZ Art Show, PO Box 14817, Wellington 6241. Full instructions will be given to selected applicants |
| May | 27 – Mon | Finalists deliver sculptures to TSB Arena Foyer – hand or courier. Hand delivery is 10am – 12noon |
| May | 28 – Tues | Delicate sculptures and sculptures that require assembly: artists to deliver and install – 11am -1pm |
| May | 29 | Judging takes place: winners selected |
| May | 30 | • Winners announced at VIP Preview • Finalists’ exhibition open to Friends and Sponsors at VIP Preview and Gala Evening • All artworks for sale |
| May | 31 & June 1- Fri & Sat | Sculpture awards exhibition open to the public |
| June | 2 | • Exhibition is packed down • Delicate sculptures and sculptures that require assembly: artists must pack down on this date • Other artists may also come and pack down their artworks on this day |
| June | 3 | 10.00am – 11.00am – Other artists may collect unsold artwork from venue. |
| June | 4 | Courier return of unsold artworks from TSB venue: artists must either send return courier tickets or arrange Freight Forward |
| July | 20 | Payments to artists for sold artworks |
