There’s going to be a whole lot of art goodness this year so, come, immerse yourself in New Zealand’s longest-running and favourite art show of its kind.

People’s Choice Art Award – $3,000

This award was introduced in 2009 and established a new standard for the quality of the artworks featured in the show. Every year our judges view all the artworks in the show and select the10 artworks they consider to be the best. Art enthusiasts eagerly anticipate what the finalists artworks will be and attendees enjoy trying to decide which is their favourite one. We look forward to seeing you trying to make up your mind!

R.T Nelson Awards for Sculpture – $20,000
Richard T Nelson has been sponsoring awards at our show since 2012. With these sculpture awards, we’re proud to work with Richard to showcase the diversity of small-scale sculptures and to celebrate New Zealand’s rich and diverse sculpture community.
53 outstanding artworks are vying for the these awards and they will all be revealed at the show. The winners will be announced at the VIP Preview on Thursday June 1 and the exhibition will be open to the public on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd. Please note that the exhibition will not be open on Sunday.

Come celebrate art and artists
Over the last 20 years we are proud to have represented around 5,000 artists, a wonderfully creative community who have formed an essential and vibrant part of the show’s tapestry, bringing their own distinctive styles, perspectives, and stories to the show.
Nearly 200 artists will be showcasing their artistry, with 90 of them on-site for the whole weekend. Come meet the artists as they share their inspiration behind their artworks.
This year a select number of artists will be showcasing a small collection of works over $5,000 – we are proud of their achievements and this is a way of supporting them in their success and pushing their creative boundaries.

We have shifts available for various roles, the work is heaps of fun, it’s great work experience and you will be some of the first to see the NZ Art Show!
We have work available on the following dates: VIP PREVIEW AND GALA: Thursday 1st June from 8:30am – 9pm (with a break) SHOW DAYS: Friday 2nd June to Sunday 4th June 10am – 6.30pm Customer service experience is preferred and as you are on your feet for the duration of your shift a good level of fitness is required.
